MD Diet

I started on this diet called Medical Weight Loss  (they have different ones that you can read about here ) that I hope it works otherwise I'll be very upset for few reasons :
  1. It cost me $125;
  2. I couldn't drink coffee with anything in it but protein drink;
  3. I couldn't eat any of the different german chocolates that we brought from Europe (I had to put them in a box and put them away :( )
  4. I couldn't eat Meatlover's something from Denny's on sunday... :D

Ok now I'm gonna talk a little bit about the diet. There are different kinds of treatments that they do, but I chose the Medical Weight Loss one which is the following:

  • An informational nutrition class
  • An appointment and brief physical with our physician
  • A bio-analysis on your body
  • Weekly coaching by our energetic medical team
  • Weekly vitamin injections (i.e., B-6, B-12, HCG, etc.)
  • Free samples of healthy food
I attended a class on Friday where first the did a bio-analysis on my body (that's when they measure how much of ur body is water, fat, etc.) then they kind of go over what the diet's about, nutrition - which was very helpful and got me thinking about all the stuff we eat and all the stuff we should eat instead. They scheduled me to come in again on Wednesday when I meet with a physican one on one and we go over my diet and the shots and everything.

One quick tip that they gave us and Im sure most of you know is that anything carbonated slows down your metabolism for 3 days. So diet Rockstars (like I used to drink), diet coke, anything is bad. I don't drink soda, but I do love energy drinks...well not anymore, instead I drink GreenTea with cafeine.

Meanwhile I've been on detox untill I meet with the physican. The detox chemically adjusts your body into a high metabolic burn, along with detoxying the body by flushing out toxins and excess water storage. But to be honest I can't wait to be off the detox :)

So here's what what the detox is all about:
