I was going to do this last year but with a new baby it was impossible. This year though it's happening lol I finally started working on my advent calendar and it's almost half way done.
I used white fleece I had from last year, I figured that's better, this way I wont have to use white felt for the snow, I can just use the background. It's about 2 yards long. Then I cut 4 pieces for the tree and sewed them all together so it's layered and then the star on the top. I started to embroider "The Zubias" across the top and will also add snowflakes on the sky. Everything except the background is felt.
I cut out 12 squares of each color for the pockets, and I was going to embroider the numbers but now I'm thinking I might use iron-on numbers. We'll see :)
